GOODS ARE GOING ABROAD

Product

For 11 months of 2019, more than 55 thousand tons of agricultural products were exported from the region, with 93.8 percent processed products. Kyzylorda farmers send fish, rice, livestock, vegetables, a total of 19 types of agricultural products.

The Agrocard for the development of the agro-industrial complex was developed and has already begun to be implemented in the region. First of all, sectors with high export potential were identified. These are rice, gourds, fish, safflower oil and meat (horse meat, beef and lamb). The main sales markets will be China, Russia, the European Union, Turkey, as well as other regions of Kazakhstan.

At the end of 2019, the list of exported goods was replenished with another name. For the first time, 40 tons of camel hair from the Aral region was sent to China. In total, there are 11 camel breeding farms in the region, which contain about 50 thousand camels. In 2017, 932 tons of camel hair were produced, in 2018, almost the same. However, most often, valuable raw materials are destroyed in our country, and farmers lose money that they could help out.

Two years ago, visiting businessmen wanted to buy camel hair from us at 1000 tenge per kilogram, ”says Bakhyt Zhakishbaev, director of the "Aruana" suburban peasant farm. But we didn’t have it, since in previous years it was already bought at 250 tenge per kilogram. If it is now possible to send it for export, then we will most likely take part.

LLP "Ulandy" in the Aral region this season 4,500 kilograms of camel hair were cut.

We wanted to process the wool ourselves, ”said Serik Dikhanov, deputy director of the LLP,“ but so far there is no way to purchase equipment. Three years ago, the price of wool became higher, and from 250 tenge per kilogram 900 began to be offered for it. If you process and wash it yourself, put it in packages and send it to large combines, you can earn up to 3 thousand tenge per kilogram. According to this scheme, camel breeders from Israel and the UAE work, but our breeders have only now got the opportunity to send wool for export. It is necessary to give a good price to farmers for it, then there will be no problems in the supply of raw materials.

In the total export volume, rice remains the main product. It was sent to consumers 48 thousand tons. As the geography of export of Kyzylorda rice shows, it is in demand on the markets of Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Azerbaijan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, Turkmenistan, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan.

In 2018, Uzbekistan bought a large amount of rice. The plans include sending rice to Turkey and Iran. In the region there are many large farms that send rice to long-standing partners in different countries of the world and work with them on a prepaid basis.

This season, our farm has buyers from Azerbaijan, ”says the director of LLP "Tan LTD" in the Zhalagash region, Imamzad Shagyrtaev. They take rice from our rice processing plant, it is beneficial for us. We are trying to increase export annually.

One of the largest exporters of rice “Abzal and K”, annually produces 25 thousand tons of polished rice and sends it to the countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States and far abroad. Recently, the company was awarded the “Paryz” gold award in the nomination “The Best Social Responsible Enterprise”. As part of the social responsibility of business, the company over the past few years has invested more than one billion tenge to improve the village of Nagi Ilyasov, Syrdarya region.

In the list of leaders-exporters and JSC "RPA" of the Kazalinsky district. His subsidiary  LLP "RZA-Agro" allocated 4895 hectares for various crops. The farm grows rice, corn, wheat, safflower, barley. Rice is sown annually in two and a half thousand hectares. They grow Russian varieties "Leader", "Amber", "Favorite", "Svetly" and the local "KazER-6". Most of the crop over the years goes to Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.

For more than two years, the region has left the buffer zone and livestock has been leading the list of exported goods. However, our livestock farmers are forced to export livestock for export. This significantly reduces their profits. This situation has arisen because in the region there is no meat processing plant that meets international requirements. In the summer of 2019, the LLP "Syr Marzhan"  of the Kazalinsky district began construction of a powerful meat processing plant, but the matter is not yet suitable for its completion. The project is expensive, it needs serious investments and an investor who will help launch the long-awaited production.

We plan to build a modern meat processing plant while we manage our own investments, ”says the director of LLP Mnazhadin Uteev. - Here we will produce meat products, pack the meat into parts in vacuum packaging - five thousand tons per year. We plan to launch the plant in the summer of 2020.

Fillet, brisket will be sent abroad. So you can sell meat profitably. In the meantime, farmers sell live sheep or process meat outside the region. This is inconvenient, transportation costs appear.

LLP "Bakhytzhan" has been sending sheep to Iran since 2017.

Iranians buy our livestock in bulk with live weight, due to the amount you can earn a little extra, ”says Alibek Nalibayev, director of the farm. If we can process meat, trading will be more profitable than now. Two years ago, they came to our village, offered a low price, but we did not agree. Transactions were made after mutual agreement at a price.

Farmers send livestock to Iran, Mongolia, United Arab Emirates, Uzbekistan. Entrepreneurs from these countries buy sheep and camels from us, recently they bought cattle for the first time.
