Ministry of Agriculture: in 2019, livestock and poultry in live weight were 5.5% more in Kazakhstan than in the previous year.

Livestock and poultry production volumes in Kazakhstan increased in 2019. As of December 1, the country has 7.3 million head of cattle (104.3% compared to the same period in 2018), more than 17.5 million sheep (102.2%) and 886 thousand pigs (103, 7%). This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture.
According to information, there are more than 2.7 million horses (108.2%) in Kazakhstan, 217 thousand camels (106.9%), 47.5 thousand birds (105%).
In addition, there are 2 million 337 thousand goats, however, a slight negative growth (99.4%) was recorded for this species.
It is noted that from January to November 2019, almost 1.7 million tons of livestock and poultry in live weight were slaughtered or sold for slaughter in the country. This is 5.5% more than for the same period in 2018.
Also, Kazakhstan produced about 5.5 million tons of cow's milk (103.2%) and 5.8 million chicken eggs (99.3%).
